Anyone who has ever worked in a factory or warehouse knows there is a need to lift heavy loads. This is usually accomplished with some type of overhead crane. There are many varieties of jib cranes and they come in different sizes and with different load capacities. A crane is a machine designed to lift materials and move them. they are used in many industries, including construction, warehousing, transportation, and manufacturing. Cranes are often used to assemble and move heavy equipment or large cargo. The right size crane will depend on the type of lifting required. Jib cranes are usually smaller and more compact and are good for lifting lighter loads or accessing tight spaces.

Jib cranes are capable of lifting almost any size load. Some have a lighter load capacity but are better for moving around a warehouse or factory floor. The 3-ton jib crane is designed for light lifting work and is normally used in a warehouse or factory. This type of jib crane may also be portable, mounted to a forklift or some other type of mobile chassis.

The traveling jib crane provides more flexibility than permanently mounted jib cranes. The permanently mounted cranes can usually lift a heavier load, but the load must be pre-positioned under the crane first. This is not necessary with a traveling jib crane. Even if the portable crane is a three ton jib crane, it can still be moved into position instead of the cargo and needs only one operator to lift the load.

If the job requires heavier lifting, then it is usually better to go with a wall-mounted or flexible floor jib crane. These cranes have a horizontal arm that extends out from the wall or the support. The hoist is attached to cables that run along this arm. This hoist is operated by a winch and is raised and lowered to lift the load. The job crane arm is usually locked into one position, although some models include a rotating ability that allows the arm to move in an arc for several degrees.

One option for the jib crane is the electric hoist. This is a good choice since it allows for the hoist to operate without manual manipulation. They are also very quiet and require little maintenance. There are several models and powers, providing some flexibility to the lifting capacity of the jib crane. Another good option is adding a chain block harness. This type of hoist is mechanical instead of electric, but still provides a good lifting capacity. It is also possible to add a motorized arm to a jib crane which can expand the reach.

Jib cranes do not take up as much room as a larger overhead crane. The 3-ton jib crane is a good choice for lighter loads or loads which must be relocated into tight spaces. It is good to have smaller jib crane like the 3 ton for lifting smaller loads.
